Re: Raid Boss List

Farming raid's is kinda hard, since we cannot be online all the time, but creating a list of raids will be useful...I'll do it :)

I hope so, we need the blades and more "farming" tho. But school latly takes too much time :S .

Majestic has 50% stun resistance. My Destroyer and my sub Paladin both have extremly high CON, so the stun resistance is rather useless. NM on the other hand has 70% Sleep/Hold resistance, what is more useful for my Destroyer and it has a shield what is useful for my sub Paladin. They both give 4% P. Atk and majestic +3 accuraccy makes me laugh, because in pvp a Destroyer doesent need accuracy(I only kill with skills) and as a Paladin I'd rather choose the shield, then the accuracy bonus. The only thing, what speaks against NM is the -2 DEX, but I'll balance it with tatoos anyway(if I farm AA). At first I would keep Tallum for myself, but when the time comes I'll donate it to the clan. Pluss I already have NM helmet. About weapons, I'd go and raid Skylancer for Dragonslayer, but by crafting I will go straight towards S grade.
And my sub Paladin is level 70, so imo we should raid skylancer for SoM/DS/DLE every day. We can do it with 4 mages anyway.

S-Grade Weapons
March 18, 2008 by kiwi
I have thought about it a lot latly. Crafting S-Grade weapons is expensive and dangerous(because they are 60%). Why not raid for S-Grade weapons. If some of us could have S-Grade weapons, then next raidbosses would be easyer and we would be better on sieges/PvP. I have created a list of raidbosses who we could take with our own clan. We need good organization ofcourse.
Bosses:
Cherub Galaxia
Lilith
Varka's Commander Mos
Anakim
Last Lesser Giant Glaki
Ocean Flame Ashakiel
Fire Of Wrath Shuriel
Kernon
Bloody Empress Decarbia
Ketra's Commander Tayr
Ketra's Hero Hekaton
Bosses, who have "Cancel" skill:
Death Lord Ipos
Death Lord Shax
Varka's Chief Horus
Longhorn Golkonda
Storm Winged Naga
Last Lesser Giant Olkuth
Ketra's Chief Brakki
/discuss
PS. I don't want to hear the words "we can't do it", Illuminati took down golkonda with 3 mages...
Re: RAID organization !!!
March 13, 2008 by kiwi
THis is my raidboss how to, read it and do it.
A valuable asset while taking down a Raid Boss is a „tank“. I suggest Shillen Knight or Dark Avenger, Temple Knight should do the job aswell. But the tank needs good buffs a healer and a recharger. The most needed buffs for a tank are provided by Elven Elders and Prophets: Shield, Bless the Shield, Advanced Block, Greater Shield, Haste, Regeneration, Bless the Body, Bless the Soul and Clarity. Elven Elder also can fill the role of a recharger. Another good recharger is Shillen Elder. For healing definatly use a Bishop. If you dont have a Bishop you can also use Elven Elder or Shillen Elder. If you can provide your tank with these buffs/heals/recharges then your tank can stay in one place and aggro the Raid Boss after every few seconds without worries to end up in Mana Points or worse dead. If you dont have an Elven Elder you can use a different strategy. Let the Prophet buff the tank, get a recharger and a healer to assist the tank and let the tank „kite“ the Raid Boss. The tank has to run around a lot, but in the end you will get the job done. Also a Swordsinger could improve the tank partys efficiency by singing the next songs: Song of Life, Song of Meditation, Song of Renewal, Song of Champion.
You can’t take down a Raid Boss without damage dealers. The best damage dealers are nukers(Spellhowler, Spellsinger, Necromancer and Sorcerer) and archers(Silver Ranger, Hawk Eye, Phantom Ranger). Theyre advantages over melee fighters are long range and high damage. Damage dealer party needs good buffs and a recharger(Spellhowler and Necromancer can recharge themselves). For nukers the most important buffs are provided by Shillen Elder and Prophet(Empower, Wild Magic, Concentration and Acumen) for archers you need Prophet buffs. A good damage dealer party needs a Swordsinger and a Bladedancer! Both songs and dances provide necessary buffs for nukers and archers.
Melee party is practically the same, but instead of the recharger they need a healer. The most important buffs are provided by Prophet and for higher damage they could use a Bladedancer. But for melee fighters it would be comfortable if the tank wouldn’t kite.
After establishing the partys it’s important, that everyone would listen to the raid leader commands. The first rule is that noone wouldn’t speak in the main chat. If you want to make a comment to your friend use PM. If there is a lot of text between raid leaders messages then it is easy to get lost and ruin the raid. Second rule: do not PM raid leader, its very hard to lead people and its even harder when someone constantly PM-s you. Third rule: if you don’t have anything really important to say, don’t say it. It’s really annoying when someone constantly blabbers about something what really isn’t helping in any way. Forth rule: don’t ever go away from keyboard without telling the raid leader. If you go AFK without telling, the leader could start the raid and discover that few guys wont react to commands and everyone probably dies. The raid leader should shout(using ! before the message) when he/she deals the commands. In conclusion while raiding try not to talk at all, when someone asks you something be clear, don’t run around and create a disturbance and pay attention to all commands.
The places of damage dealers depend on the Raid Boss. If the raidboss uses a lot of AoE spells or uses a polearm, then its better if the damage dealers stand away from eachother because if the tank should fail and the Raid Boss runs to kill a damage dealer then it kills only one, but if all damage dealers stay in one place the Raid Boss kills them all. If the Raid Boss hits one person per hit, then its easyer for rechargers if everyone stand in a straight row. The tank should be away from damage dealers because if he loses aggro he can pull the Raid Boss back on him/her before the raidboss reaches to kill a damage dealer. When the tank is kiting the Raid Boss then everyone else should clear a way for the tank to run.
What to do when the raid leader says go? First of all if you are a damagedealer then wait for about 15 seconds before nuking/shooting because it’s easy to get aggro on yourself when the tank hasn’t aggroed the Raid Boss as fast as you deal damage. If the tank loses aggro stop nuking/shooting the boss because its important that tank must get the aggro on himself/herself back again. If you are out of mana or need buffs notify the person who should recharge/buff the party. Pay attention to raid leader and always take out the minions first when they appear.
If you follow all those directions here and all directions raid leader gave you you should have a successful raid.

Re: Subclasses

1)I was thinking of Phantom Ranger,
2)but I heard we need a tank too. So Paladin would be my second choise.
3)If I need to go nuker, then SpS maybe?
4)I think we have enough supporters atm and I can't subclass OL.
5)Any more bright ideas?
